Just across from the Grand Mosque, Hasan Pasha Inn is a two-storey Ottoman caravanserai built in the second half of the 16th century. With its striped black-and-white stonework and spacious courtyard, it is one of the most characteristic buildings in Diyarbakır.
Today the courtyard is famous for generous Diyarbakır-style breakfasts, while the upper-floor shops sell silver jewellery, handicrafts and souvenirs.
